​Springwood & District Chamber of Commerce

The Springwood & District Chamber of Commerce represents retailers, businesses, services and not-for-profit organisations in Springwood and surrounding areas.

The Chamber successfully re-launched in 2014 in order to:

• Increase the profile of local businesses and service providers.
• To encourage people to do their shopping and business transactions locally.
• To provide an opportunity for local business owners to get to know others in the area, to share ideas and develop business connections.
• To create opportunities to learn new business techniques and skills.

 The Chamber currently has over 70 members from the local business community keen to promote their offerings and to make connections with other local businesses and organisations.

So far several ideas have been implemented for our ‘Shop Local’ campaign. Shop Local branded shopping bags have been created and distributed throughout the local retail outlets to reinforce the message. To create a buzz in Macquarie Rd at Christmas time the popular Late Night Shopping Evening was created. With shops open later, a roving Santa Claus, buskers, art competitions and festive foods at local eateries it has quickly become a popular event.
