Secretary - Lesley Lewis - Springwood Neighborhood Centre
“My intention as Chamber Secretary is to carry out the functions of the role and support the objectives of S&DCC’s Constitution. Essentially, do whatever we are able, to promote businesses in Springwood & District (neighbouring suburbs) to thrive. I view this voluntary committee position as an extension of my existing role within the community at our Springwood Neighbourhood Centre that has been part of Springwood for over 40 years! The love of local village communities and nature is in my blood!
By the way, I have lived and worked in Auckland, Sydney, Brisbane and Manhattan as a professional administrator. A career highlight was been the first person hired by Nokia New Zealand to set up its first office in 1992. My corporate career took me all the way to Manhattan in 2012-2014, working for a privately owned Hedge Fund. When I returned I found myself seeking a work place with a focus on people. I volunteered at SNCC and soon became a member of staff under Toni Quigley’s leadership. I am grateful to work locally amidst our gorgeous village surrounds, its fabulous cafes, businesses and services. I am honoured to serve Springwood & District in the elected role as Chamber Secretary.”
